Nursery Furniture Set

What do you think of this set?
They also make it in white and a dark cherry, which I don't think I like as much. DH and were not going to buy any nursery furniture except for a glider/ottaman since most sets are quite expensive and we were getting hand me downs anyway. Well, a family member told DH yesterday that we should register for a nursery set b/c he wants to buy it for us!!! How nice is that?!?! So, of course I went right to BRU to scan away!

I think the furniture looks attractive and if you love it, than go for it.

I found when we were looking for nursery furniture that the quality of the stuff at BRU is not as good as other places like Behr's and Bellini. JMO.

Hi Claud, isn't Simmons a very popular brand of baby furniture? I thought it was well-known and of good quality, does Behr's not sell it?

I have never heard of Simmons children's furniture and the link you posted actually says that it's sold exclusively through BRU.

Behr's does not carry them. They carry Bonavita, Pali, Legacy/ChildCraft, and some others.

Bellini's, (from what they claim) manufactures 3 or 4 lines of their own furniture (but, this can easily be some other manufacturer that makes the furniture and sells to them, which Bellini's then re-sells under their own 'brand'). I dunno.

I think it's very very pretty. I love the edges on the pieces.

I don't think Simmons is exclusive to BRU b/c I saw Simmons on baby center and baby outlet. But then I have a Babi Italia crib and I first saw it a BBB and then BRU said it's their exclusive....but again, I have it elsewhere.....so I'm confused by the 'exclusive' claims.

Any which way, it's lovely.

edited to add: I looked at your original post Niha and I think they mean the particular style is exclusive to BRU???????

You're right, it says the particular set is made for BRU. I guess I'll check it out in person one more time and make sure the quality is good.

Really nice set-- I agree with some of the other ladies--check it out in person and make sure you like the quality of it-- and then of course shop around till you find it for a better price-- don't trust the 'exclusive' title--it is amazing what you can find online!!!

I have seen this set at BRU and I really liked it. When I had my son 4 years ago I bought a Pali dresser and Bonavita Crib, glider and spent around $1,800. Simmons is a well known brand and in person I thought this set was made pretty well. I loved the lines of this set.
