NWA - OceanCity Maryland Question

For anyone who has been to OC where do you prefer to stay??? Midtown or Boardwalk??? And any nice hotels you reccommend?

boardwalk is nice but really entirely too far from seacrets... the main attraction... we normally stay at a place around 18th st, but always had to take the bus or cab it to secrets on 49th ... and lots of time, the bus is too packed so it blows by you and you cant get a cab... last year we walked all those 30 blocks one night and it was redic!

we're going for my bach party in july and staying on 37th i believe...

ETA: we've never stayed in a nice hotel there... they are hard to come by actually... and the ones that are nice are super pricey... i found one that looks great after doing tons of research... castle in the sand ... you can try that

I have had my family summer vacation there every year since I was 4! Love it!! I personally prefer to stay further away from the boardwalk because it's less crowded & a bit cleaner although all of OC is super clean. Plus the strip is so small you're never more then 10 minutes from the boardwalk. As for hotels, most of them are pretty decent. Nicer ones are Princess Royale & Coconut Malorie. There is also a Hilton Suites near 32nd Street which is nice. The Holiday Inn Express & Suites by 126th street is small reliable. Hope that helps.

Honestly, there are hardly any 'nice' hotels in Ocean City...years ago we used to stay at the Howard Johnson on the boardwalk around 12th St. I dont know how nice it is now though.

my parents have a condo that is walking distance to Seacrets & Mackeys. Both places are awesome. Stay close to Seacrets!!!!!!

Kind of random, but if you like cheese go to Liquid Assets. It's a bar and restaurant in a liquor store and they have the most amazing cheese platters. Every time I'm in town, we grab a bottle of wine from the shelf which they'll serve you and order a cheese platter and some apps. Amazing!
