My 1st Language is Spanish...
I started learning English on 2001-2002...

i speak very very little italian. but thats it :)



How hard was it to learn english?

A little italian but nothing crazy

I can tell you to
kiss my irish a*s*s in gaelic!

I spoke Russian as a kid but then we had a fight w my grandfather's side of the family and no one spoke it again really. So I know like 25 words from memory.

My FH actually spoke Spanish 1st even though he was born here bc his parents spoke it so often in the house. They both went to HS here. I think my Spanish is better than his now lol.

I really wish I was fluent in spanish. I'm trying :)

VERY hard...
try to go to High school and students laughin at u because U cant understand nothing....

I overcame that though...

It was very hard...
I started learning English when I was 15...
But thank God now I speak it good.. or at least I think I do... (well all of u understand me lol lol lol)...{I think}

i speak english, spanish, italian and i can read in portuguese and french - but not speak them.

its not easy learning a new language, but if you put your mind to it, you can do it!

It is hard But I managed to get thru High School!
I completely 'gave up' Spanish my first 2years So i could get 'use' to English....
and It worked!! after two years I was 'defending' myself completely with English!!!

I have so many friends that are el salvadoran! :)

it's awesome you were able to learn another language. I know its so hard!

Korean was my first language ( I was born in Seoul) but I don't use enough to be as fluent as I'd like.

FH is Portuguese and speaks it very well. Before I knew what nationality he was I'd hear him on the phone with his parents (we work together) and I couldn't figure out what language it was!

First Language: English

Second Language: Italian (although growing up I was only able to speak and understand a Siciliamn dialect cuz that's what my great-grandma and grandma spoke, but when I went to school I learned the correct form so it was hard to adjust). Now I am starting to lose it because I don't speak it as often. I can still do it but it takes me a while to translate it in my head before I say something.

Third Language: Random german words and phrases that my other grandma and my mom and aunts like to say all the time

i can speak tagalog with an american accent even though i was born in the Philippines. i took for italian for 6 years but barely remember anything

first english

i speak a decent amount of spanish... FH is cuban so he taught me alot over the years

i speak it alot at work and I can pretty much have a full convo with my patients in spanish...and i learned it all from him & my patients! 3 yrs ago I knew a few words...now i have full convos with no formal teaching!

My first language is Spanish, even though i was born and raised in NYC, but my parents always spoke to me in Spanish ( I also plan on speaking Spanish to my children, my FH will speak to them in English).

Recently my FH and I got Rosetta Stone Italian, its 3 CD's and we are almost done with Cd1. I think it has been really easy for us to learn since it it similar to spanish in some ways. However yesterday at the showcase the the italian guy was singing i realized i must have not learn much becuase i hardly understood ANYTHING....
