Yeap life is tough here, everyone is always in a hurry, its all about work work work. The days passes by so quickly. I enjoy what I do or else I would be going crazy. But thats life, you have to work , you have to do this and that.
I know I just wish there was more time to enjoy life

Re: NWR: Rant about LIfe
i feel the same way especially in the job i am in now! i absolutly hate this job - i mean, i love working with people and families and helping them but its not my passion ya know? and that makes me sad & in turn that makes me hate my job!! to make matters worse i'm sick of working in queens and living on the island... i'm lucky if i get home before 630 everyday... in fact, i cant remember the last time i got home before 7 - and this in turn makes me hate my professional life EVEN MORE!!!!
i'm holding out till the wedding b/c i make really good money here & i havent been here a year yet. after we get married i plan on finding a job on the island working with the population i have passion for! but for now, i pretty much hate my job

I felt the same way when I graduated college. Commuting on the LIRR to the city made it worse.
I don't really feel that way anymore, but sometimes I do. We are moving to NH after we are married, 2-3 BR houses with 2 acres cost like $200K. BIG difference and the salary isn't much lower than here. We've been researching it for years and decided we will move 1 yr after the wedding.

Re: NWR: Rant about LIfe
You know, this reminds me of what I noticed when I was in Europe backpacking right after I graduated…I kept running into Australians and eventually I would ask what they did and all that. Well, there was a 47 yr old who drove a bookmobile. The one closer to my age was a bit better off; he was an X-Ray technician. But I just remember thinking—wow, what are you gonna do for a career? As if that’s the most important thing in life…they just worked to make enough money so they could travel for like two months every year. I just thought it was interesting how different my presumptive on what life was supposed to be like. I actually much prefer theirs, lol. They might not have been CEOs, but they were HAPPY.
