Ive never taken it, always take zithromax for a bad cold/bronchitis but I have a prescription for biaxin from my doctor which i didnt fill the last time i got sick cuz the zithromax started to work. Anyway, i am so sick, the dr wont be in until next week. i know its bronchitis. So just wondering if anyone has taken this, do you get any bad side affects? (i want to make sure before i take it while im at work...)

I don't know but you can call your pharmacist with questions like that. esp if your Dr isn't around. I've had the whole sore throat sinus thing last week went away for the weekend and now I wake up with coughs and like no voice-but I didn't go to Dr. Hope you feel better!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i have taken it.....
its just an antibiotic
i dont remember how strong my prescription was, but that will determine if u have side effects or not
sometimes REALLY STRONG antibiotics cause yeast infections
that happened to me once but not when i was on biaxin

The only thing is you have to take it with food, it weighs very heavy on the stomach. Other than that, it works great for me, but make sure you take the whole 7 days, even if you feel better.

this brings on the yeastie beasties (that's what my friends call it). Eat yogurt while on it or ask Doc for prescription of Diflucan you can take after you are done with it.
