FH and I usually go on vacation in January. We are both in graduate school so the vacation is something that we really look forward to so that we can relax and unwind from everything.
This year we aren't going to be able to take a vacation because we are saving for the wedding. I reallllly wish we could because I love being able to travel to a hot climate and just relax on the beach.
This year we're thinking of maybe going to Atlantic City for a few nights so that we can at least get away for a few days since we can't take a big vacation.
Since I have never been to AC I have a few questions:
* Do you recommend going to Atlantic City in January? * What is there to do in AC besides gambling? * Is there a lot to do there in January? * What is the best hotel to stay at (clean and close to everything)?
TIA!!!

Re: NWR: Atlantic City
Wow...thank you all SO much for your responses!!! I am definitely going to look into all of your suggestions.
I'm getting so excited because originally FH and I thought we weren't going to go away anywhere and instead we would do different outings in the city (broadway play and dinner, ice skating, etc.)....but then I was thinking that those things are expensive too and it would probably be better for us to go to AC for a long weekend instead of spending the money on activities in Manhattan. FH and I haven't been there yet so I'm super exciting about going!!!

Although Harrahs is not on the strip it is the only place I would stay in AC. The pool is AWESOME. It is adults only, indoors, and heated. They searve tropical drinks and the whole 9. If you are lookig for a mini-getaway i think thats the way to go.

I second the Tropicana Hotel for A/C. FH and I were there a few months ago and stayed at that hotel for the weekend. Our room overlooked the water and it was very nice..The restaurants downstairs are fantastic!

My thoughts exactly The Borgota is Gorgeous but the Tropicana is full of great places within the hotel. LOL I felt the same way about being on vacation when I stayed there.
No matter where you stay, BRING YOUR LICENSE KARSAV!!!
