NWR: baby gift

NWR: baby gift

My cousin is having a baby and I want to get her something that she can keep forever. I don't want to get baby clothes or anything like that. I was thinking a precious moments figurine but I really don't like the selection they offer. Can you girls think of something along these lines? I'm looking to spend under $50. TIA

My aunt just had a baby, and FH and I went to a place in the mall and got a silver baby spoon with the babys name and birthdate.

Then we got 1st babys christmas ornament. Just little cute things we happened to find

I was thinking an ornament but the baby is due in february and I feel it would be weird to give her an ornament in february. Actually, it'd be even weirder because I don't think she has a christmas tree, LOL

you can get blankets at things remembered and they embroider them with names and dates. they are like 30-$40

lol yeah that might not work .. Do you know the sex of the baby? or you can even get one of those scrapbook things, where she can add pictures as the times arrive. Like 'Babys first step' or 'Babys first word' 'babys first hair cut' etc etc

FH and I bought from things remebered a birth certificate holder--it was a silver tube with teddy bears on it and we had the baby's name engraved on it--very cute.

What about a Tiffany baby rattle or something like that?

It's a little $$ (not as much as you'd think though...) and it'd be a really nice keepsake after the baby is grown.

They have other cute stuff too...

Tiffany stuff

The rattle is $250! If that is $250 worth of silver in that rattle I'm scared the baby would knock itself out and have a concussion with it

Oh crapola! I had no idea. Sorry. Eek.

It's more for display. I don't think the baby plays with it? Maybe they do though!!

I'm going to be a terrible parent. My kids are going to be whacking themselves with silver rattles and bricks.
