NWR: Bellydancing class tonight - UPDATE!!!!

Has anyone taken bellydancing at their gym?

Mine just started to offer the class and I'm going tonight. I'm stoked. What can I expect?

Okay UPDATE!

Got back from class a little while ago and it was so much fun!
The instructor was super enthusiastic and modified some of the moves for us newbies, which was really cool and made the environment so inviting.
It's hard work! I'm pretty sure tomorrow my abs are gonna be sore. But it's fun and interesting and more importantly, something new to shake up the workout routine!
Music was super cool; I love anything with heavy drumbeats and today she focused on a drum solo, which I loved!
I'm only sad about one thing - it's only offered once a week at my gym!

You ladies must try it!!!!

I've never gone- and Lord know noone wants to see me do that.
But just wanted to say have fun!!

I go to Sedona in Forest Hills. I love it!

You'll have fun as long as you have a fun instructor. I go to nysc in long beach.

I did it once at Lucille Roberts and I was TERRIBLE at it!

Their website stinks. But they offer a variety of classes - aerobics, bootcamp, yoga, Pilates, zumba, dance, etc. The class schedule posted on the site hasn't been updated, but it will give you an idea of what kind of stuff they offer.

I definitely will! Maybe I'll go tomorrow to see their pricing. I really just want to go for the classes. I live about 4 minutes away from there (driving, not walking) so I don't have much of an excuse.
