If you don't want too much information - look away lol.
I have been having SEVERE menstrual cramps for the past 48 hours with no break. I mean, painful!!! I can't stand up, move around without pain. A hot bath, heating pad, tylenol, nothing is working!
I have hormonal issues but am on BC.
Should I be seriously worried? I've never had pain like this before, and it's never been constant. Literally kept me up for two hours last night, and i thought I was going to have to wake up FH to take me to the hospital.
Any thoughts?!!? Any remedies?
Thanks for reading!!!!!!!
UPDATE: of course my dr wasnt in today. So i spoke with another dr in the practice (but wont take my insurance!) and told her what i am experincing and she reviewed my history and she said wat you all said ~ it appears my cyst(s) have ruptured and that i have to call back tomorrow for tests with my dr. ugh. i have to go back to work tomorrw, so maybe i will leave early to see dr. and i still will have no car :( ugh. im going back to sleep bc i hve to get out of bed to do the henna at 430. thank you all so much for listening and for your advice.

Re: NWR: Calling any health professionals....TMI
im not a medical professional. but this helped me i have been going to a chiropractor recently for an injury unrelated to my period. anyway he had asked me if i get bad cramps with my period which i normally do so anyway he adjusted my lower back basically shifting my pelvis and let me just tell you it was the greatest thing EVER!!! for the last 2 months i havent even noticed my period! like seriously no syptoms, no cramps no backaches nothing!
if you dont wanna see a chiropractor my other suggestion is my ole faithful, for years when my cramps were out of control i would sip a highball glass of tequila on the rocks, works like a charm for me!
hope you feel better soon hun

I would definitely call your gyno if it doesn't let up by tomorrow! Could be a cystic problem, a friend of mine has this and she will get serious, keel over, can't move cramps like once or twice each year. Her gyno said it's nothing to worry about and she's still OK to have children and everything.
I'd give your doctor a call just to have some peace of mind

you know your own body best girl if something is not right please go see a doctor. no one ever regretted seeing a doctor and finding out its nothing to worry about but im sure people have regretted putting things off that turned out to be serious. if its something you've never expeirenced before call your gyno in the morning and tell him/her whats going on even just to ease your mind

definitely see your doctor. I have had cysts since I was 17. One of them burst on me (a medium sized one) and the Dr thought I had appendicitis. I couldn't sit, stand or move, all I could do was lay there. Once they ruled out appendicitis they sent me to the gyn. Your gyno will do a transvaginal sonogram to look for fluid in your uterine cavity and if its there then they can diagnose it that way. There really isn't anything to do once they burst except pain relief and rest. But its much better to know what is going on than be wondering! HTH!
eta some more deets

I would defintly go see your doctor in the morning and if it gets any worse then go to the ER tonight. It could be a ruptured cyst, esp since you know you have cysts already.

not going to help for this cycle, but you should start drinking at least a cup of this a day, I promise it will make a HUGE difference.
Thanks ladies. Of course my doctor isn't in today, but I'm waiting to hear back from someone else in the practice. ARGH!

I have cysts as well and I have had 2 rupture. It is SO painful and the pain is what you described.
Are you getting your period now or are you mid-cycle? Usually cysts burst mid-cycle - at least that's what my OB-GYN told me and my sister (who is an OB-GYN). It's something called midleschmirtz (sp?). Your cysts contract and release when you are mid-cycle and eventually rupture. Worst pain EVER! They usually regulate that by putting you on birth control for 3 months at a time (getting your period 4 times a year and skipping months).
I know that I've gotten pains so bad in that area that I went to the hospital, it was bad for like 3 days...ended up being really bad gas. If your OB is not in, I would advice to either to go the ER if the pain is still bad tonight OR see if you can see your regular doctor. That doctor might be able to tell you 'you need to go to the ER' or 'drink some apple juice and fart'.
Good luck and I hope you feel better.
