Re:Best in NYC!!!

Dr. Saul Pressner
112 E. 71st St.
NYC, 10021

212-249-8999

When I moved to NYC years ago I asked a friend for a recommendation. She said she had the best - he didn't hurt at all - and she was in the midst of complicated gum and dental work.

Dr. Pressner is the best - great work, gentle, gentle, gentle and he'll put on whatever music you want while he's working. He was always on schedule with his appointments too, and had Saturday hours. Both dentists I've seen since I was his patient (I moved out of town) have commented about how nice his dental work was, and I have extensive gold crowns and inlays.

I was so sorry to leave him when I moved to Boston, that I actually considered keeping him as my dentist and seeing him when I was in town on weekends, but decided I needed a local dentist for any emergencies. Now that I'm back in NY, I was considering going back to him, but I live way out in Suffolk and so I'm trying a dentist out here that was highly recommended by a co-worker. So far I like him too, although I'll probably always think Dr. Pressner is the best.

PS - my dentist out in Sayville is Dr. Paul Rubin - on Lakeland Ave. in Sayville, in case anyone is looking for a good dentist out here.

Re: Re:Best in NYC!!!

Just a warning to be really careful when having a dentist put you to sleep. Three years ago I went to have 2 wisdom teeth removed. The dentist gave me too much anesthesia, and I ended up in the hospital with heart palpitations and almost died. I have a heart mummur now that I never had before, and had to go see a cardiologist for months to recover...not to scare you, but at the hospital they told me that only licenced doctors should administer anesthesia, many others do not know how to give it properly. I would get many recommendations and make sure that he knows what he is doing.
