Take him for a walk in his carriage. That should knock him out.

Does he walk? Tire him out if he does. Some kids will sleep for the car ride and then wake up when you get home, so it doesn't always work. Cholicky(?) spelling-kids need rocking-like from a washing machine-hold the car seat on top of the machine. He could be hungry to. Is he eating enough? is his diaper dry? I use to use Pampered Plus for the nights.

NOOOOOOO

My son never slept....ever....the first 6 weeks was pure h e l l. He is now 12 and above average in his grade, near genius level and in honors going into 7th grade, so it didn't effect his development.

my daughter is 3 now -- sounds like he needs to be kept up a couple of hours and then maybe he will nap for an hour or so- just play with him on the floor- blocks, trucks, try and help him to stand or walk keep him busy and when he is tired he just might go down easy and for a while--

Every child is different. My son slept amazingly. Went to bed at 7pm and didn't hear from him until 7/7:30 am.

It was great. I was very spoiled.

My niece never slept. I swear she was up 20 hours out of the day.

Sounds to me like he could be teething too. My niece was doing well and now the teeth she can't sleep.

I know what it is like to need a break (I used to watch my other niece while my sister worked). It is ok to put him in his crib, pack and play and take a little time for yourself. If he screams that is one thing but if he will play for a bit on his own do it.

LOL it is! I just fixed it. I can't believe your sister goes through life without her kid taking a nap. I would cry or have a nervous breakdown or cry while having a nervous breakdown.
