NWR: Estrostep

anyone on it? if so, how do you like it? How are the side effects??

I LOVE it. My favorite pill-- slowed down my flow and shortened it to 3 days. Mild nausea early in the month was the only thing I noted. Otherwise, all the same side effects as other pills as supposed to apply, but it really depends on the individual.

and btw, I'm an OB/GYN

I didnt like it.. it was the second brand that i was on. It gave me yeast infections before my periods (sorry to be gross). Its probably just me, b/c ive had to change the pill 4 times. Im now on my 5th brand.

Thanks for sharing girls. I was on Yasmin and doing just fine. When I went to the Dr. this week to get my perscription filled, she wanted me to change to Estrostep. Supposedly, there was recent, but very rare death that was noted in a medical journal from a woman who was on Yasmin. Something about the potassium in it ... can cause blockage or buildup in the heart?

I don't know... either way, my doctor suggested going on this. I just hope it doesn't mess up my schedule. As it was - I wasn't supposed to get good o'l Aunt Flo for the wedding and now I'm not sure what to expect

That's ok I understand. It happened to me with Ortho Tri Cycline.

This is my first time taking the pill and I am on Yasmin. I feel like it is making me moody and I am gaining weight. Did you find this while on Yasmin also?

The first month or two of being on Yasmin, I felt very bloated. But then as time went on, everything subsided and I felt like I got back to my normal weight. Yasmin didn't make me moody - at least I dont think. I should ask FH about that one

I was on ortho-tri-cyclene for years and it made me sooooooo moody

Now I'm estrostep and its great. 3 day periods, and it cleared up my skin.
