Yesterday my family was over for a birthday party. My cousin kept making his two year old son hit my dog Brutus!! AND HARD!! His wife was freaking out and told me to hit his hand away when he went near him. But I explained that I am not going to hit their son for listening to his BRAIN DEAD father - what does the baby know?
So finally, after making him hit my poor Brutus for the THIRD time. . . and seeing my Brutus COWERING because we have only hit him MAYBE three times in his whole life for doing something TERRIBLE ( like snapping at someone etc ). . .i turned around and freaked out! I told him that if MY DOG bites off HIS SON'S face you better BELIEVE that i am not putting MY DOG to sleep and he better cut it out.
Of course he is the type of guy that you could be hysterically crying in front of him . . . and he STILL wouldn't take you seriously bc to HIM its all a big joke. Yeah he is in his thirties. . .nice right?
HE IS SO LUCKY that Brutus is SO well behaved with children. . . but if he snaps its NOT his fault he is an ANIMAL!!!

Wow, that's a-hole-ish. I'm glad you snapped at him. He could really hurt his son if he does that with a dog who would snap!

Some people are just very childish and have no respect. He should have never told his sone to hit Brutus!!!! If I were you I would have hit the father!!! And if he did bit him he deserved it!

OMG I hate that. I always tell children to Not touch my dogs kids are rough and I think your cousin is ridiculous for that you never know what an animal can do even the most behaved especially under stress. My dads cousin used to stop near my dogs and scare her( I hate this man mind you) so finally my dog couldn't take it and this man couldn't go near her anymore she would try to bite his feet and ankles and freak out. She was a bull terrier too. My son gets rough with my little dogs its hard sometimes b.c he thinks its funny but he gets in trouble for it.

Good for you for saying something! But what is WRONG with this guy???? I'm telling you, the FIRST thing I say to someone when they say a dog bit a kid...is 'what did the kid do to the dog?' Kids need to be taught how to behave around animals, and to respect them, or else, Yeah, they're gonna get their faces bit! And you know what? GOOD! maybe that'll teach them! I'm sorry, that jsut drives me nuts. Dogs wind up in shelters all the time because people punish the dog for thier ignorance in not teaching their own child how to respect an animal's space...UGH, now I'm annoyed too... PS- next time that family is at your house...tell the dumba$$ father that the next time his son hits the dog, you're putting HIM in a cage!

every time the kid hit my dog i would have punched his father in the face.

Thanks girls for making me feel sane - because the more i think about this the madder i get AND i really want to call him up and say something else to him BUT i know that will be pointless bc he will just laugh his behind off at me and totally not get it!
