My favorite is Poland, but they lost on friday.

Todays match between Japan & Australia was exciting. Aussies scored 3 goals in the last 10 minutes.

You know Santina.....I wasn't quite sure WHO in this world you could be rooting for

I love them too though!!! (But mama is from Germany...and well Puerto Rico doesn't have a football team, and well...EVERYONE loves Italy!!! So I go for Germany, and the USA...and of course...when ever my little olive skinned paisan's are playing...I go for them too )

Re: NWR-FIFA World Cup Today

I am Italian-American but very Italian so I would love to see Italy win.....

but I am also American so it would be great to see the US win as well.

I think it's kinda sad how Italian-Americans only root for Italy...even if you are first generation You are still an American!

Actually thats true........but I think everyone claims more pride to there roots...but I bet if you go tit for tat, toe to toe.....whether it be soccer, war, whatever.....in the end...Most Italian Americans...would always side for America. As much as they all love the mother country and what have you.........they are also very patriotic for this country..the USA.

And on a side note.....I AM PRETTY SURE BRAZILE IS GONNA TAKE THE CAKE THIS YEAR......

Re: NWR-FIFA World Cup Today

Nina..Between you and I. Yesterday I watched the Australians seriously upset China, and they looked really good. But like you say, Brazil almost ALWAYS takes the cake. I think Darren thinks the same about Brazil as well!!!! We shall see.

Re: NWR-FIFA World Cup Today

Nina....sadly all the Italian Americans I know are really not patriotic!!!!

They live a great life her, one they surely wouldn't have where there family came from, yet they are almost ashamed to be American.....that's what I see with A LOT of Italian Americans and I don't like.....
