NWR: Furn-A-Kit furniture- Is it really that bad?

My dad says its crap...I can't afford anything fabulous right now, but my TV is currently sitting on top of a rubbermaid storage bin which holds all of our movies, so I figure anything is an improvement...

Anyone have any reviews?

I've never heard of it... Have you looked in Target? They have some good stuff for good prices!

Yeah, We really liked something in there...but the whole set up would've cost over $500...I'm looking to spend less than $300.

Re: NWR: Furn-A-Kit furniture- Is it really that bad?

Are they the company affiliated with Consumer's Kitchen & Bath? I think I went to a location in Commack, but could be wrong.

The furtnire is 'crap' per se - b/c it's pressed wood - but you get what you pay for. I have a TV stand from them, and it's going strong 4 years now! I didn't want to spend a lot, and didn't.

I recm'd them for things you'll replace w/time - but not for bedroom sets or larger purchases.

That's what I'm looking for...I don't want to spend a fortune because I know we will upgrade when we buy a house in a few years. Thanks!

When my sister moved into her house they got a bedroom set for the extra bedroom.........its really nice and this was 2 years ago. Its still all in tact and its sturdy.
FH and I bought about 5 years ago an Entertainment system from them.......we still have it and its still going strong!

IKEA!!!! Go to IKEA! They will have exactly what you need for under $200!!! Or you can always go with something by Sauder. Sauder makes pretty decent stuff. I've had a ton of it and it can look nice...

But IKEA all the way...

I have a desk/office center from there and I think it is a piece of CRAP. I will never buy anything from there again. I would rather have spent the extra $ and got better quality.
