NWR: Halloween

I know it's really early, I'm a little kid but I love Halloween. FH and I were up in Syracuse yesterday and we went to Dougherty's, which is the biggest costume store in the state and open year round so we were browsing through the halloween stuff, so excited!

Has anyone thought about it yet? What is everyone being?

OMG I havent dressed up for halloween in ages - I work the last day of the month every month for the last 5 years - I will be at work But I cant wait to see what all of you girls will be!

haha i just graduated college so halloween is big. I love dressing up. Last year I was Holly Golightly (Audrey Hepburn) from Breakfast at Tiffany's.

This year I think I'm gonna go as Tinkerbell (unoriginal, but I've wanted to do it for years) and FH is going to be the Joker. There will probably be tons of ppl doing that..... but he's going to make it a really detailed cool costume so it will still be really cool.

My FH and I were actually thinking about having an engagement/Halloween party. We wanted to do something more casual just with our close friends. We want to dress up as a bride and groom. I was thinking a madonna esque like a virgin costume


and I wanted to make him wear a powder blue tuxedo or something equally ridiculous... like this lol

me and my girls were thinkin flight attendants..last year we were all the same thing..it was pretty fun

we wanted to go to AC since its a friday night...would be a lot of fun.

Haven't thought about it yet. Would love to dress up this year though because I didn't last year.

Rebecca - did you go to school in syracuse?? I went to Oswego.

Dh and i dress up and love to. Gotta think of something good for this year

this was us last year. I dressed as a pirate and he was gonna dress up as one too from pirates of the caribbean until i opened my big mouth and said 'oh since you love fear and loathing in las vegas' that would be cool to do and he did it lol




he even had a bald cap underneath and took off the hat for a bit.




the year before i was a correction officer and he was a prisoner

yeah for people who know hunter s thompson and loved the movie and the character raul duke they LOOOOVED it and thought it was an awesome idea. But it was sooo funny bc some people had no clue and were so confused as to what he was hahaha...ill take the credit since it was my idea, also you cant tell from the pic but he bought the real long cigarette holder to get more of the full effect


i have to think of something good this year. Im gonna start checking out sites right this moment haha

since i saw this thread i have been looking at halloween costumes the past hour hahaha.

I think this year i want to go for a different look. Ive done the cutesy lil miss muffet, goldie locks costumes a few years ago, i did the sexy correction officer look and last year did a pirate look. Dh is really into vampires so thinking about doing a vampire theme. It S*CKS though bc so many of the vampire costumes look cheesey and not the greatest costumes. Still searching though, i did see one that was decent.

my daughter is going to be a goth cheerleader if it fits her we got it after halloween last year yay 75% off at target
hopefully it fits she grew like 2 sizes since so i don't know.... i have the good ole stand by sat ears, tail , and bowtiewhen she was 2 i was pooh and she was eeyore it was freakin adorable I even went tot sears to get pics done not many people have seen them though lol i was so embarased if i dress up at all it will be more for the kiddos class party than anything.
