i think its called the little animal shelter?..i bought my 2nd dog at shake a paw and it makes me so sad after i read about where they get there dogs from..you know those puppy mills.,..

Anytime I went to the little shelter, I thought it was dirty and nasty. I'm sorry but that is JMHO.

I personally don't like Little Shelter. I volunteered there when I was a teenager, and they were really nasty to some people trying to adopt a dog. They were an old couple, and the people there were grilling them about how they would be able to care for the dog. That has always stuck in my head. On the flip side, any animal shelter is a good place. I also don't like North Shore Animal League, even though its insanely popular, but their hearts are in the right place.

I also volunteered at the Huntington League for Animal Protection; this the the shelter run by the town. They were all really nice there. I used to go in and spend the day playing with all the cats. We also adopted a cat from there.

They took in a lot of animals from LA... and they are looking for food...

Im SOOOO gald i started that post about puppy mills bc i really think it got people thinking
