What's sad is even if they get booted from Hot '97, another radio station (i.e. 105.1) will pick them up and that will be that.

So, really, where is the justification, justice, or repercussion for these immature actions??

HOT97 regrets the airing of material that made light of a serious and tragic event. We apologize to our listeners and anyone who was offended.

Both HOT97's program director and Miss Jones issued on-air apologies on Monday stating that the material was offensive and should not have been aired.

HOT97 takes pride in its community involvement and in the last few weeks has joined with broadcasters nationwide to raise money for victims of the Tsunami. Our relief effort will result in a substantial cash donation.

Honest - I want to vomit... I can not believe that!

The poor innocent babies and children who were taken away from their families and who are now orphaned, being kidnapped, forced into sexual slaevery... Its so incredibly sad. So sad and this woman makes me ill!! Whoever came up with the idea for that makes me ill. Sick!! its sad to think that we share a world with people like that!

I don't understand how anyone could think that is funny. Every time I turn on the news there is another gut wrenching story to be told. They should be using their influence and broad reach to help fix the problem, not create a new one.

I hope these DJs AND management suffer the consequences of being so socially irresponsible.

seriously- the FCC gave more of a shite about Janet Jackson's breast-- SOOOO offensive (said in snarky tone of voice).

FCC's website encourages you to email them a complaint. every lil bit counts, guys!

They are horrible!!! I really hate racist stuff like this. It's so offensive and it's not funny. I signed the petition and I also sent e-mails to Hot97 and their sponsors.

OMG! I did not hear about this until now! I am outraged at what stupid people think is entertainment.

I pray that the victims families do not think this representative of how Americans feel about this devastating tragedy.

May god watch over those who are suffering from this!

Miss Jones of Hot 97 recently aired a very insensitive song on their morning show that makes light of the tsunami tragedy and uses racial slurs, here are some of the lyrics as being sung to the80's tune of 'We are the World':

that is absolutely sicking. i used to listen to that station when i was living in new york. i never thought that they would stoop that low....unreal....they need to find something better to do with there time. i find it funny that as soon as someone calls them the 'N' word the scream....then they go ahead and do it to someone else.....so sick
