I just listened to this. I cannot believe this crap aired for 4 days!!!!
What the hell does the FCC do anyway??? Don't our tax dollars pay them?
Janet Jackson's breast was exposed for a few seconds and there was an uproar.
I signed the petition but I think the best way is to attack the sponsors. SPRINT PCS sponsers Ms. Jones' morning show.
And what's with Ms. Jones? She seems very divisive and angry for no real reason. If Ms. Info wanted to separate herself from their nonsense, why get pissed at her for it.
Hot 97 is known for such crap. They had a morning show that was truly offensive. Star & Buckwild (I think) and they had some joke about Aaliyah (the singer who died in a plane crash). They got fired but now they are back on the air. I guess Ms. Jones wants to keep her audience since Star & Buckwild were so popular that listeners had them hired back - by petition????
That's why so many people listen to 98.7 & 107.5 (and for the gossip show with Wendy).

Star made harsh comments and made a joke of the whole incident by playing a recording of a plane going down and people screaming. Miss Jones was so upset that she cursed on air, took her head phones off and walked off the show.
But now she has no such morals when it comes to thousands of people dying? Or she thinks it;s okay to use this as a means of keeping her spot at the station now that Star & Buckwyld are back on the air at Hot 97.

I stopped listening to Hot 97 years ago, when STar & Buck were on it. I hated their comments and remarks. Now that 105.1 brought them on board, I'm going to be keeping my radio at WBLI.

I don't think the timing is coincidental. The tsunami happened a month ago (today) and this wasn't aired until now... days after Powell resigned as head of the FCC. I think this was more than just a parody song, it was a big F* You to Powell and the old FCC. I'd rather have them be a little overprotective (i.e. JJ's boob) than to allow disgusting comments and parodies like this on the air. Now there are kids walking around thinking this is hysterical.

I sent emails to every person listed on the post above telling them how repulsed I was by this song and that I will never EVER listen to Hot 97 again ever a day in my life. Here is a response I got from one of the people I emailed.

wow! you're one of the first ppl i know who got a response! i emailed the morning show, 97.1, sponsors, fcc and i got squat. i want them fired and black listed! suspension? a week's pay? an apology? not enough! they're just baby steps! more should be done!

What a bunch of f#@#%^& a$$es. I heard about this from my son yesterday. It was the talk of his school. That is what gets under my skin, it is not us, the adults listening to this bs, it is our kids. This is so called entertainment for children and teens. I am grateful that my son found nothing funny about this, but what about the ones that did? A bs sorry is not enough. Make them take their sorry a$$es with their one week pay to Southeast Asia and work it off. I can't even explan how distugsted I am with all of this...but I have signed and sent emails to every person possible...esp the sponsers...
here is an updated list of the sponsers along with contact info...let them know that you will not purchase anything that they make until they disaffilate themselves with anything HOT 97...

I heard about this on the news and I was shocked. I couldn't believe it. It's horrible. And the way the producers and DJs tried to defend themselves when someone complained is even worse. They dug their hole even deeper. They should be fired. Just shut the whole station down too, while you're at it.

Miss Jones and the Morning show has been suspended indefinitely.
As of today, several key advertisers have pulled their sponsorship dollars from the show, including Sprint and Mc Donalds.
Hot97.com has an official statement about this.
i am so glad HOT97's taking a lot of heat for irresponsibly continuing the employment of Miss Jones, Todd Lyn and others involved w the song. i want more to be done! i cannot back down here. why be so 'indefinite'??? fire them! there's plenty of people out there who can easily replace her and staff (not including Miss Info) with some positive influence and can also challenge our minds.
