NWR: How far and long do drive or commute to work?

So I have an interview tomorrow in the Bronx. The job sounds awesome except for the Bronx part. I live on the South Shore near the Nassau Expressway and to be honest it is a pia getting everywhere. I was commuting about an hour and fifiteen minute to my previous job by car and it was hard when there is heavy traffic or weather conditions were bad. At least it wasn't also 11 a day in tolls. I hopstopped this place and it's 2 hours by train. I say thia all to say am I spoiled or travelling over an hour and half one way for work too much?

I'm spoiled- 8 mins from Westbury to Roslyn Height.

But I went to FIT so had to take the LIRR from Massapequa to Penn for 4 years + internships ahhhhh torturous.

I'd take the job though- it won't be that bad if it's something you like and the money is good.

i live in bayside and work in midtown. my total commute is about 35 minutes, but lately there is always some sort of delay on the LIRR or subway. i also love how they want to keep raising the fare, but cut service

I know right, at this point I have to be thankful I have a job, but man am I tired and bitchy!

I drive 37 miles each way and it *****!

The bridge *****. I couldnt handle it truthfully.

I drive exactly 37 miles too......except i drive east so it only takes me a half hour at like 6:15 in the morn goin 80mph.....

Now im doing an internship in garden city this summer it is literall half the distance but still takes me over a half hour to get there

It Takes me 5 mins to get to work if there is traffic 8 LOL

Beleive or not, a lot of people commute a big distance to work, my FH used to drive 1 hour and a half to get to work and the same to come back, and I used to drive 1 hr to get to my job and the same to come back home, right now my commute decreased - only 40 min - which is an improvement!

30 to 40 mins
i refuse to move to queens cause i dont wanna have to commute back to the island to get to work in all the traffic

HOWEVER i will consider moving deep into suffolk if we can buy a house out there. then the commute would take me an hour.
