NWR: How fast does hair grow back?

i have to get chemo and may lose my hair so i was wondering how long it takes to grow back

fh's aunt owns a wig salon in commack, if you want i can get the info for you, just fm me.

otherwise, for me, my hair grows fast, i got my hair cut 6 weeks ago and its grown 2 inches since then.

good luck hun! you are strong, you will get thru this!

if you for some reasons have issues w regrowth, i would recommend going to see a dermatologist as well to check out your scalp and hair follicles. they can prescribe other options (i.e., rogaine) as well that are supposed to work pretty quickly.

I wish you well. I personally don't have any expereince but they say haid grows 1/2 an inch per month. I would try a wig that uses real human hair.

I am so sorry you have to go through that.... There are so many ways to have long beautiful hair for your wedding. There is an excellent product called Nioxin. There is a Shampoo Conditioner and other products to help hair growth it really does work. Good luck!

THis might sound a little odd, but it might work..

how long is your hair now??? is in long enough that would could cut like 10 inches off?? because this is what they need for the locks of love, soo you should cut it off before chemo & have a wig made out of your own hair

First, I wish you the best of luck. Be strong, you can do it!!
Second, if you haven't started treatment yet, get to a wig shop ASAP and show them your hair. If you want, you'll be able to purchase something that is very close to your own hair color and style. It helps the shops to see you first. My Aunt did this and although she has completely lost all of her 'natural' hair, no one knows because the wig she bought is so close to her natural (well dyed) style. She claims the wig is HERS because she paid for it. What a spirit!!

yahhh u can get really amazing wigs...my aunt is going through this right now, and when we went to her house for dinner, we didn't even know she was wearing a wig!! it was SO pretty and natural!!

I'm so sorry you have to go thru chemo. you are in my prayers! I think you're hair grows back really fast though. my aunt lost all of her hair and grew it all plus some in like 9 months (she had a lot of hair too)! You will be beautiful that day no matter what. I won't have my hair that day either, i'm weaving it and because i have a receipt for the hair, It's mine! Either way you will have your hair for your wedding and you will look fantabulous!
