NWR: Hurricane Protection Tips

Ladies,

This is just a post with a couple of tips that someone told me. As a step toward added protection for this weekend's storm, you should consider pulling down/installing your storm window panels if you have them.

If you have double window panes, they will help block the wind from breaking your main window panes, which are more expensive to replace.

Also, if you have a double track on them, pull the screens down in front of them, just in case the storm window pane cracks, because the screen will keep the broken glass from coming inside.

Also, PLEASE for yours and your neighbors' sakes, put all your outdoor loose items inside or in a garage! Furniture, grills, garbage pails, hoses, tools, etc.

They could easily fly up and hit yours or your neighbors homes or cars.

Stay safe!!

My BBQ is in my living room now
I also took out my window AC unit just in case, taped my sliding glass doors and stocked up on water.

Another helpful hint is to fill your bathtub with water so if the main water pipe goes you have something to flush with
