NWR: I did it!!!!!

I handed in my letter of resignation today!!!!

I will no longer be working in mid-town. I will be working on Long Island for a very reputable company. Instead of waiting 3 - 3 1/2 hours in commuting time, I will driving at most 10 - 15 minutes each way to work. OMG I can get sleep!!! Woo Hoo!!

Thanks everyone...it has been a few tough months at my current job. Even one of my bosses said she was happy about me getting the new job. She told me she wished she could be able to tell me that i would have a job here once they implement this new system they are creating, but since the company is downsizing, she couldn't guarantee anything. But she told me that if the company does better down the road and I find myself not happy with my new job, that I can always call them to see if I can come back, which is great to know.

I use to commute into the city, it was 2hrs door to door.....now I work 5mins from home and its amazing.

That first Monday morning when you wake up and realize you have a whole extra hour or so to sleep you will be so thrilled!

Congrats! It's always good leave on a good note. I left my last job on a really good note, and was told I'd always be welcome back. That was before they went out of business, hehe.
