NWR: I feel so bad!

I feel so bad! My FH just called and said he is at the 24 hour vet putting down his 13 year old greyhound. He is already there and said that it is almost over and I can't meet him there. I'm so upset. He loves his dogs like they are his children! I feel so helpless and useless right now

Aww so sad Im an animal lover with 2 cats who I consider my kids so I can imagine how hurt he is. Im so sry

OMG this makes me so sad! I am so so sorry! hugs for FH! I love my animals! I can't imagine having to put one of them down. FH may have to put his German Shepard down soon and I can not bare to think about the pain we're going to be in. I pray he gets through it ok, thank God he has you there for comfort.

Oh NO I am so sorry One of my pets has been sick for a couple weeks and it's been killing me.
My parents have a greyhound, if he needs anything, please send me an FM... I'd be happy to help. Their greyhound is so awesome, it took me two seconds to love him!

The best thing you can do is just be there and listen and let him be sad. I know that's all I would want... and maybe make him laugh a little bit Don't feel useless you obviously really care!

Aww, oh no!! I'm so sorry

Same thing happened to me last May. My fiance' was on the train coming home from work and he got a call from his parents that they were putting down his 16 year old dog. I was driving on my way over to his house. It was sooo sad and he had no idea it was happening that day. By the time he called me to let me know, he was already at the vet & it happened.

So sorry that really is sad. My guinea pig dies last night and I wa sin tears so I cant imagine a dog of 13 years. Just comfort him the best you can. He will be ok. It's just sad for a while. Our dog Tyson died last year and FH was devesatated. Took him like 2 weeks to get out of a funk.

We just went through that about a year ago with My FH dog too. ITs hard very hard and Im sorry--

Sorry about your guinea pig! My bunny (not the one in the pic) is getting older and we were just at the vet twice... going back to pick up meds so I'm stressed a little until he's better. It just takes time! Wedding stuff is a good distraction though for a little bit.

That's terrible. I have never seen FH more sad than when we had to put his puppy down last year. It was awful and absolutely heart breaking for me because there was nothing I could do to make it better!
