NWR- i had a kinda scary morning and wanted to know if anyone has an info about this (sorry its long) ****UPDATED***
so today fh and i went to visit his mom in the hospital (she had surgery but is fine) and all of a sudden i started to get really hot and dizzy...then i start to black out and next thing i know everyone is around me 'saying omg are u ok?!?!?!' this isnt the first time ive passed out, and i kinda knew it was coming when i started to get hot and dizzy but we were in a hospital room with his mom, dad and grandparents and his grandpa was sitting in the seat and i wasnt about to be like 'omg i need to sit' i didnt want them to know what was going on so i just leaned against the window ledge and hoped the feeling went away..well it didnt and i passed out (not to mention my back is scraped up from when i fell- so that hurts)
i get this feeling probably 2-3 times a year but usually like 2 of the times im somewhere where i can sit down and if i can sit usually i can get the feeling to pass...i went to the doctor once like 2 years ago and they gave me a few tests and blood tests and all he found is that my cholestrol is a little high..and sometimes my blood presure is a little low
whats scary about this time is that FH and his family think it was a seizure bc i was shaking, my eyes were open, and i made a few sounds before i 'woke up'
the nurse told me i should get checked out at the ER but if i was feeling ok now i can just call my doctor (and sadly to say i left bc i have school work that i have to do tonight, and so does fh and i didnt want to spend all day there) so im gonna call the doctor tomorrow
does anyone experience anything like this? know anything about it? fhs family said that i should maybe ask my doctor for a referal to the neurologist
im feeling ok now just a little weak and my head hurts a little but im attempting to read a thousand pages for my grad paper thats due tomorrow..i just wanted to see if any of u girls know anything about this TIA
************* UPDATE**************************
ok so i went to my doctor today he said its prob that vago something or other but i had extremely low blood pressure today butttttt then the nurse hooked me to an echocardiogram thing and after she did it quick and printed that paper out was like 'thats weird' and she checked me to make sure everything was on correctly...left the room to talk to the doctor, came back and was like 'you need to go to a cardiologist' i was like what did that test show??? and shes like its ok, im like umm but what did it say? and shes like u have a VERY low heart beat...awesome...oh and i read the paper (bc they game it to me to hive the heart guy thats next door) and it says that i shower multiple atrial premature complexes, short r-r complexes..and i have no clue what any of this means lol but obviously its not that great...i have an appointment with the cardiologist in a week and a hlaf so hopefully ill know more then...weirdly enough im not actually worried, im just hoping its nothing toooo bad..anyways thanks again girls for all the info u guys gave me yesterday!!

before i even read the 2nd paragraph all i kept thinking is that i get like this and its from low blood pressure, not saying this is the case with you but just that it MIGHT be a possibility...the whole seizure like things though kinda throws me off...no matter what definitely go to a doctor ASAP to find out the problem

This has happened once to me.. When I'm waiting on a line in a crowded store... I remember getting off the line to get some fresh air outside b/c like you i also got hot and dizzy and then as i was walking towards the door, I couldnt see anything but i kept walking, Somone asked are you okay and helped me out of the store... Sat me down on a bench and then I got my eyesight back... I dunno if my eyes rolled to the back of my head or what... I'm assuming they did, but it was the scariest moment of my life... I still dunno what caused it but I've noticed I get that 'hot' feeling when I'm in crowded places
On that note, get all the tests done that you possibly can... You never know, finding out something now could save your life down the road!

thats exactly the feeling! and i am able to stop myself from passing out usually if i can sit...and its good that u were able to sit bc if ur an iddiot like me and dont sit asap u WILL pass out...but what was diff this time is the fact that i was shaking..i dont think ive done that before

OMG- definitly see a Dr and a neurologist. It could be low blood pressure, but like Denise said- the shaking thing seems strange. Even if it only happens 3 times a year- dont disregard it. Feel better.

definitely get a new doctor then, some of them are like that and dont tell you well here are all the possibilities and lets test you out and find out the answer, s*cks that theres doctors like that...Go to one that will try to find out the answer and do as many tests as possible. And even if a doctor doesnt do tests ask for it, but my suggestion is go to a doctor that will suggest this without you having to do so.
Regardless just so you know, low blood pressure will make you feel very light headed and dizzy so that is a factor, not sure if its the source

This happened to my college roommate, I forgot what they found but she went for tons of tests. She would randomly pass out and it kind of sounds like what you're describing. If you'd like I can ask her if it's ok if I give you her e-mail and maybe you two can talk about it?

it hasn't happened to me in a while but like 2 -3 yrs ago especially...I would get up to walk to the bathroom or something and by the time I reached the bedroom door I would black out and couldn't see anything even though I felt concious of what was going on. I would hafta hold onto the door knob as I fell because I was afraid of falling and hitting my head because alot of the times I was by myself. Things is...I was always by myself so nobody saw this and so I had nobody to tell me what exactly I was doing while it was happening. I'm also not big on doctors so I always chalked it up to blood pressure or something. Hasn't happened in quite some time so I hope its just that my health at that time was no good and now I'm better...at least I hope.

IDK if you ever watch those mediacal mystery shows on discovery and tlc, but the drs always say that they are trained to diagnose with the most common answer. So the rarely look further into symptoms. They ae quick to say 'oh- high cholesterol or low BP...NEXT'
Check webmd and demand that they keep testing for things.

the problem is that it can be quite a few possibilities, i know i felt the same way and found out it was iron deficiency and once i started added more iron in my diet i felt better...i think even when you're anemic you might feel like this, so us girls can give you all the possibilities but we can even be way off, i mean even if someone is a doctor on here or a nurse until you have tests done they cant answer for sure but maybe give you all the possibilities.
Just don't put it off now, even if youre feeling fine now...this time you were lucky you were in a room with family there, i fainted once at the train station and i was on the platform close to the edge but luckily i didnt fall onto the rails and everybody around me jumped to grab me, or this can happen while youre walking down the stairs or who knows where and it can become a dangerous situation. Good luck and hope you find a doctor that will be helpful.
Now i wont say i suggest this but one thing i do is drink redbull, im addicted and ppl always ask if i get real jittery or energized and i really dont at all, i say i have low blood pressure and honestly it balances me...there was one time i was out shopping with Fh for hours and this is when it happens to me ALOT, being around those bright lights and just the crowd and non stop walking makes me get dizzy and light headed and one time I went to sit and i told FH to run and get me redbull lol.

thats what used to happen to me when i had an iron deficiency, a little over 2 years ago i went on a strict diet but kinda forgot to add iron to my diet, almost everytime i got up i would feel so dizzy and see blurry spots.

not saying to become addicted like me, i drink 2 a day lol but maybe once in a while just when you feel a little light headed...alot of ppl have the wrong idea about redbull and think its TONS of caffeine but its not, what gives you the energy is the Niacin, which is actually what they give to alot of ppl for better health and especially those with heart problems so niacin is good for you, plus redbull has tons of vitamins which again is what gives you the energy, the sugar in it is less than a can of soda.

lol i SHOULD work out but no i dont...but it could be linked to my heart bc my heart doesnt beat normally (i swear i have all these issues tho im always told that im fine) but almost everytime i go to the doctors they listen to my heart, give some sort of weird face, and then hook me up to an ekg and tell me everythings fine LOL
