just now on News channel 4 says that the DOEP (dept of envir. protect.) wants to silent the sounds.....
HOW DO YOU DO THAT!!!!
yeah maybe NOT as loud when customers are there in the truck.. but to silent them totally....
thats part of my SUMMER!!!

they are not silencing him ladies when he drives, you will still hear the famous song when he is at a standstill selling ice cream, the music will shut off

i can see them shutting off the sound while the truck is stopped. i live in an apartment complex and didn`t think i`d see the ice cream man roll thru here but when i did i got all exicted like a 5 yr old but it got old real quick cuz he stops right in front of my living room door blaring his music. and yes i`m not the type to complain about it but i can see why some people would. if i was still working overnights i`d be a lil annoyed

That is insane! I can see silencing after 11 or whatever the usualy 'quiet time' is in the neighborhood, but come on!!!! They did do it in NYC though.
For that matter- why don't they silence the annoying little jackels (kids) behind me that SCREAM bloody murder on top of their lungs in their backyard for no reason. That is more annoying to me!
