I was thinking about skipping the placebo pills this month and starting the next pack right away so that I will get my period the week before my wedding next month instead of during the week of my wedding. Does anyone know if this is safe? My doctor said I should just stop taking the next pack a week early so that I get my period the week before the wedding. Does it matter which way I decide to do it?

I would follow your doctor's advice - b/c I'm not a doctor.
I have skipped placebo weeks before with no problems, but I'd assume every medication can be different.

It's FINE. That's why I'm on OCPs: to be able to play with them!
You don't ovulate when you are on them...and lots of the lower hormone formulations have you skip lots of periods.

It's perfectly safe! They even hafe BC pills out now that allow you to have your period 4 times a year, and I believe there's a new one out that stops it entirely! I don't know how I feel about that though..

I did it 2 months in a row so I would not have it on the wedding or the honeymoon and it was fine!!!
