NWR: it actually happened.. Small Update

Got to work this AM and called into the bosses office...I got laid off!! My whole department did.

We work in the mortgage industry and things have been really bad for a while. We knew it was going to happen, but of course I don't need this 3 weeks before the wedding!

Update: my manager just called and said all the people I worked with at the mortgage companies keep calling and emailing her asking for my contact info because they want to help me find a job!!

Omg! I am sooo sorry! My sisters FH is in mortgage and it is really bad. Take this time to relax, and get things done...I am sure you will get the job of your dreams soon!

Hi date twin!!!!!!!!!! I am so sorry for this but look at it as a blessing in desguise. Now you have some time to finish up all the last minute odds and ends. If you don't have any I have a ton!!! There are jobs out there contrary to what the news tells us. Good luck!!

thanks girls! I'm staying positive. I honestly believe that everything happens for a reason, so hopefully I'll figure out that reason between now and when we get back from the HM. I think that with my spare time, I may attempt some DIYs! I'm pretty relaxed about this, because we did get a heads up about it a month ago..just waiting and wondering when was torture! I've already made beach plans for next week with friends who are off.

Plus, I can now dedicate myself fulltime to LIW! haha

apparently the company was in dire straights financially- the owner was putting in his own $$ to pay us. He said he is working on giving us something..he'll let us know early next week. My parents have already said they'll help us out wih whatever we need, they are awesome!

Plus, I recently started selling avon, so that helps too.

You can also spend some of this time job searching and tell them the date your available to start is whenever ur back from your HM. Atleast thats not like 8 weeks from now. So itll actually be a resonable start date to give.

I was laid off the day we got back from our honeymoon and while I freaked a bit, I ended up getting a better job in a better company with better benefits and better money. It was def for the better and Im much happier here than i was at the old job!!!!!!
