WOW. It's really unfortunate that idiots get pregnant at the drop of a hat, and people who actually want children, can't have them.

you're supposed to wait 6 weeks but i do know ppl who haven't waited. My cousins are 10 months apart so yeah im guessing my aunt didnt wait but i also am not sure how old her baby is, i forgot when she gave birth
i remember when my fsil gave birth and she hurt down there for awhile....in the beginning she couldnt ever imagine doing it again but they did b/c im having another neice or nephew! hahahaha......but yeah, i thought you were def supposed to wait - im waiting as long as they tell me to wait, im not messing around with anything down there!
yeah i feel the same way, i get scared and get paranoid that if i were to do it earlier then something would go wrong. I am sur the first 2 weeks probably its still uncomfortable well depends. By 6 weeks its definitely better so maybe thats why others just feel its ok to do it earlier since they feel better. I'd be afraid to get an infection which can occur easily in that situation. Plus you are most fertile then and can get pregnant very easily after having a baby

While I do think most of the time its irresponsible for a teen to become pregnant, I also dont agree with it because I feel like a teenager gets cheated out of life because once you have a kid, its all about the KID. No more going out, enjoying HS, doing whatever you please. BUt I think youre also looking at it the wrong way. We are making fun of the girl for not knowing you can get pregnant while breastfeeding. That is a little ignorant and stupid on her part if it is true. We all know she has more money than all of us but that doesnt make her a good mother, look at her sister. Just like we dont know her situation, you dont know it either. She could be a very irresponsible parent.
Also, did you say youve been together 46 years??
And kudos to you that you worked it out and made a great mother BUT majority of the times when a teen who is not ready to have a child has one, it DOESNT work out.

im sorry you got offended....
but i dont know why teenage moms think they are so great for continuing with their pregnancies....i dont know why but that kind of annoys me, i guess because to me, it doesnt make you a better person and i feel like that is the first thing people always bring up - they say, at least i had the kid - i dont know, i just dont get that....

actually if you read the article, then you would see that the reason we said she was an idiot is bc she thought she couldnt get pregnant while breastfeeding.
ALso money doesnt make somebody a good mother. Look at britney spears, look at what her poor kids went through, money didnt help them.
I applaud you for keeping the baby and raising two kids and having a great relationship with the father. Yes its also important how a teenager handles the situation after it happens but at the same time doesnt mean I will agree with teenage pregnancy and say its ok. Does it happen? yes of course and while i can applaud a teenager for taking care of her own responsibilites and stepping up to the plate, i wouldn't say its a reason to be for teenage pregnancy. Infact, i know teenage mothers who actually try to go around and tell other teenagers NOT to get pregnant, they never regret what happened bc their baby has been a blessing and cant regret the baby but at the same time they do speak about the struggles and how it is better to wait. I have friends whose mothers had them as teenagers and let me say that their mothers were even more strict bc they didnt want their kids to go through what they did. I know many wonderful mothers who were teenage mothers, its nothing against how they are as a parent, yes SOME can even be better parents than an adult, but doesnt mean all teenagers know how to handle this responsibility.

uhh yeah! id be so afraid of getting an infection up in there! im very paranoid about things like that - especially with stitches and stuff! oh god, i dont know how i will ever give birth!

i tend to agree with that just because i think its important to be ready mentally and financially to have a child and i dont know anyone who is 13-18 that has enough income to live on their own and support a child - and i think its also important to be mentally ready - i just dont think you have much life experience as a teen and i think that finishing school, working, and just living makes you a more well rounded person - i think i would DEF be a better parent now than at 16 and i think that at 30 i might be an even better parent than at 25 - if that makes any sense - just because you know more, you've experienced more......but as we know even adults are irresponsible and have kids they cant afford or dont want that they werent planning on in the first place.....and i think that a lot of times people who were not ready whether they were a teen or adult do end up making great parents.....
can we go back to making fun now?

i agree, its an irresponsible act and yes of course you do get the most amazing gift from it and would never take it back. But i dont think we as society should say 'teenage pregnancy is ok' hey if it happens it happens, you deal with the situation and handle it like an adult

I am sorry I completely agree with you. I understand there are women who had kids as teens that are good mothers but there are many women who do not even know how to be mothers. I was a teen too and came to have relations with my D at age 20 believe it or not. I used to watch Jenny Jones while being a teen and seeing other teens getting pregnant. I guess we all mature at different levels. I for one believe in having kids when we will be financially , emotionally stable and there for our child. It is hard to raise children and harder for kids to raise kids. I applaud those mothers who have made it and provided for their kids as teen mothers and I applaud then men (kid at the time) who stay with them but those cases are rare. In the end the kids are the one's who suffer because mommy has to struggle when their dad is not in their lives. It's sad. My brother is 17 and I talk to him on how he will mess up his life, the girls and their baby if he were to get a girl pregnant. I am sure he will be very responsible in taking care of his child but he might not be the one raising his child. It's not fair to kids.

What does money have to do with being a good parent??
I know many people who are living VERY comfortably and are horrible parents... and others living paycheck to paycheck who are amazing parents.
The fact that she has a lot of money, really means nothing about how good of a parent she is.

well just let me say i finished school iam in college i still go out and have fun iam getting married and iam a proud teenage parent so none of these responses offend me
just remember nobody is perfect and only god can judge me i know a lot of ppl say that as an excuse but it is true and no i dont think teenagers should have babies but a lot of babies come from teens some of the greatest as that hell some of yall and ya fam might be from teen moms so be careful wat ya say a lot ofc women on here had kids young and might be hurt 2 hear these things about teen moms +

Honestly, I think its wonderful that you made the best of the situation and youre in college still with your childrens father. That really is a beautiful thing. Sadly, that isnt the case A LOT of the times. And I do know teen mothers, I also know mothers who were in there early twenties when they had kids and they still werent ready for it. Raising a child is very hard and I cant see a child raising a child when most adults have a hard time doing it. Again, it isnt meant to insult any teenage mothers when I say its irresponsible. I didnt say its wrong or its bad. Kudos to you.

again, our 'idiot' comments were about the fact that she thought she couldn't get pregnant bc she was breastfeeding, if you read the article and then saw some of the other responses such as the coca cola one then you would see thats what we were talking about
Again, we didnt say that teenagers who have babies are bad people none of us implied that. Nobody judged you or anybody who had a baby at a young age. My mother was married at 18 and had me at 20 but she was the first person to also tell me to wait. I dont take it offensively as in she regrets having me haha.
But you also cant say that most teenage moms end up staying with the father of the baby, stay in school and so on. Many teenage girls are getting pregnant on purpose now for the wrong reasons, many of the fathers dont stay and the list goes on. We're looking it as a whole not on an individual basis
