Any ideas on a second job? I am currently a teacher and will have more availability over the summer.

Re: NWR: Job
That was so vague. Can you tell I don't REALLY want another job but want the extra money for the wedding. I would kind of like to start working now but I live in Eastern Suffolk and work in Nassau so with my commute I wouldn't be able to start working until 5. Any ideas or suggestions?

I don't know if you ever worked in a restaurant but with your kind of availability I would say that is your best bet. I worked in a restaurant for years and it's good because you have money in your pocket everyday. Good luck!

This! Or maybe since you want something for the summer maybe work at a camp or a pool.

Same here! Last summer I subbed at a special needs school since they usually have 12 month programs. You may want to look into that. I think I am going to do it again! Or a lot of teachers also become waitresses in the summer too!

OH AND I also privately tutored for a student at his home whose family insisted he needed extra help when he was out of school. This would be great too!

Lifeguarding or teaching swimming lessons-- best summer job ever! I miss doing that so much :(

I teach too and honestly, unless I'm willing to work everyday there isn't much in the way of second jobs during the school year. I do an after school program once a week and tutor twice a week - I'd look into something like that. Summer you'll be open so I'd either look into camp, bartending, or retail (I could not be a waitress - I'd flip on someone)

Re: NWR: Job
anybody know anyone that is hiring for the summer? I am also a teacher and I am looking for a second job...
I have bartended and waitressed for over 7 years... I'd do that or possibly work in an office or camp or something part-time.
