NWR- job hunting hell

I've been looking for a decent part time job so I can finish with school and there is just no such thing out there! I've worked in offices and thought I could get something part time in the day but it's impossible. I also have a lot of experience waitressing but really don't want to spend my nights working because FH works days :( idk what to do anymore I've been sending out resumes everywhere and I feel like it doesn't exist? how can that be! I even tried looking on fire island boards to find a beachy day time bartending/waitressing gig but nothing! feeling very discouraged..

Look for babysitting/nannying. I am a nanny and it pays GREAT and the hours are perfect for me. There are all type of hours out there!

Don't give up! There's something out there for you. I see a lot of P/T jobs on Craigslist. I look occasionally for a job for a second income, but all the P/T jobs I see on there are for during the day so they wouldn't be good for me.

NWR- job hunting hell

I'm looking for a full time job, and I'm having the same trouble!! It's horrible out there!! Just hang in there!!

I work in a restaurant, it's good money and an easy job, if you want to consider looking into that!

NWR- job hunting hell

I hear ya! I've been doing side jobs since 2008!!! I am an out of work elementary teacher. Been subbing, babysitting, driving cars for dealerships and baking for YEARS! I finally just recently decided I need full time work again (thank you expensive long island weddings!) and I applied for office jobs, nobody even called me back as I have ZERO experience but tons in the classroom!!! It sucks!! I just landed a Nanny job which I love (it's not ultimately what I want to be doing) but its fun and basically full time! Keeps me busy and money in the bank!!

Also im not sure if you're looking for just secretary work but look at hospital websites..they have plenty of clerical. There is also nurses aids most times you need to take a couple week course but it may be worth it. Good luck!

NWR- job hunting hell

When I was in a 'I hate my job' slump, I was looking for other jobs and felt the same way. I like to think I have a good resume, but I didn't get ONE response!! Like Lori said, craigslist always has tons of listings, but again, that's where I looked and got nothing. We have people constantly calling our office to see if we are hiring. Right now we aren't, but we're moving soon and will be expanding. I'd just call offices and maybe you'll get a more direct answer. It's TOUGH out there!!

Edit: P.S., we are moving our office in June/July and will be looking for some girls to do front desk and some medical assisting. They don't really require medical experience, just front desk experience. I'll keep you in mind! You'd even get to be on liweddings at slow times in the day
