NWR: joined the ranks of GPS owners today

Haven't had it for more than a Half Hour and I am already hooked.

IF you need one, Costco has the Magellan Roadster 1412 for 199, I checked Best Buy and it was 299 for the same unit.

IT IS SOOOOOOOO MUCH FUN

they are great. fh and i each had our own by garmin. mine was a lil nicer and more expensive than fh's. i only had mine about 3 weeks until someone smashed my window and stole it out of my car. just be careful if you have yours on your windshield or dash board and always remove it when your not in your car!! people even look to see if there is a ring on the windshield from where the suction cup would be for a gps!! its scary. but they are the best things. we still have fh's navi and its great for road trips !!! tells you where there is an atm, gas station, anything !!!

I love my garmin!!!!!! but that is right I NEVER! leave it in my car. FH and I have a lot less arguments while driving now!

I have a megallen (can't remember which version) but it constantly stalls on me while i'm driving. it doesn't keep up with my turns so sometimes I'll be going for like 7 blocks and the last set of instructions will still be there. Then like, 10 seconds later, the lady is saying, 'Calculating Route.' If she was a real person I would have been done strangled her for getting me lost several times!!!

GPS is the best thing ever! I just got one last christmas and it was the best gift anyone has ever given me...b/c i am so bad at directions. Good luck with it!!

I realized it was a necessity after going to MD this weekend, driving back, calling FH in a panic saying 'am I supposed to be in Pennsylvania?'

I have the garmin nuvi i got it for christmas last year. I call her the biotch bc she's always making me go stupid ways and then decided that im off route. i was going to westchester and the biotch made me go through manhatten i was so mad then i lost satilite in there it was a mess. BUt i love her when she's not making me drive in circles

oh and i changed my car icon to a football i also have a school bus, candy cane, radio flyer, motorcycle, big truck, and a few others. and i like karen she's the australian english voice. i love that i can change my car and my voice its funny

I'm using my parents GPS tomorrow since I have to drive to the bronx for a class. I just hope I can figure out how to work it!!

I love my GPS. it's the best thing ever. I have a tomtom one. FH stole it from me this week because he had to go to NJ for work. I should get him his own...
