Please shed some light.. how do you work full time and manage to get all of your house chores done?!?!? I have been having such a hard time keeping our house clean and staying on track with everything! I have been feeling so overwhelmed and things keep pilling up because I just can't keep up!

My apt is constantly a mess! Its hard to stay on top of it all. We usually do a major cleaning on the weekends. Thankfully, we are moving in a week to a larger apt with a dishwasher, so that will help me out a lot with the dishes!!!!!

Same here . . . I can NEVER get all the cleaning done b/c when I do have time I am usually so tired or have no desire to do housework. So we also use the weekends to 'tidy up'. Although I have to say right now, we really need to do some 'spring cleaning'!

we clean on Sundays together and split the chores during the week. on especially busy weeks, the apartment gets cluttered. i hate clutter. i know, it's really hard to keep up with everything.

Keeping the apartment clean is very important to me so I make it a priority. I never put a dish in the sink for later - I always wash it right away. Before I leave a room I'll do a sweep over it to see if anything belongs somewhere else. There are times I'd love to be watching tv or on LIW but I make sure my chores get done first!

I TRY to keep some order during the week but every Saturday I do a heavy cleaning. It's not fun but I just turn up the music and get it done.

When I lived on my own I tried to clean while I was doing laundry. Given that I am totally undomesticated, you can imagine how messy my apartment was! Now that I live with FH, he actually does most of the cleaning. We have lived together since October and I have NEVER even pushed the vacuum cleaner or even turned on the dishwasher!!!!!! My responsibilities are (1) feeding the fish and watering the plants (2) putting away my stuff at least once a week (3) doing my own laundry and (4) helping out a bit more if we are having guests over and the place has to be really nice.

We clean on the weekends usually sat or sun morning that way its done & the rest of the day we are free. We never allow anything to pile up thats how you get behind. Always put your stuff away immediately & always throw in a wash 2x a week. Usually when i get home from the gym.
FH & I split up the chores he does Bathrooms & mops I do vaccum, dusting & laundry. Dishes if i cook he cleans up & vice versa. We are both neat clean freaks so its important & we make it a priority!

FH and I are both neat freaks, so it works out, and we are pretty much neat during the week. Early sat mornings, I set aside time and clean the bathrooms, and do the dusting. It's not so bad, but again that regiment will change once the nice weather hits

we are never home so things aren't really ever a mess..i mean we vaccum dust and clean the bathroom like everyother week usually on a sunday morning and wing it all out at once...we work together!
laundry is the biggest issue...we dont have a washer and dryer in our apartment so we have to go to the laundry matt... FH will do it on monday nights while im in school for 5 hours...it give im something to do

it's called up at 5:30 and bed 11:30 and i also can juggle nine things at once. FH has also pitched in more the more I work (he;s a 9 to 5er) I also use all spare time I have to do both

When I lived with my ex I had to set a side a whole day to do the cleaning each week in my schedule because he didn't help and I never had much time to do it in. It ******.
It actually reminded me of playing SIMS and when they get frustrated because they have to clean everything themselves. If only maids were just $10 and could clean the whole house in under 2 hours.

We do most of it on the weekends but we split up the apt and it only takes a hour or so. We also do laundry on Sundays and we swap each week.

When I lived at home I was super messy. I always said when I had a space of my own I would keep it really neat and no one believed me so now I really feel the need to live up to that!

For us Friday's after work is when we clean and do the laundry. This way we have the weekends to ourselves. The only thing I have to do is cook. We have gotten into the habit of doing this which makes it much easier.
