Please shed some light.. how do you work full time and manage to get all of your house chores done?!?!? I have been having such a hard time keeping our house clean and staying on track with everything! I have been feeling so overwhelmed and things keep pilling up because I just can't keep up!

i live with fh and our son and everything is pretty neat except toys being everywhere and always pounds of laundry. since i work part time i do most of the cleaning but he does the garbage, laundry and vacuuming its a good balance

I work 4 full days a week...I have off Tues, Thurs and Sat...I usually work 12-10. I do all my chores on my days off, or sometimes before work, sometimes after. FH helps a lot, vacuuming, cleaning the kitty litter, etc.
Tues: Mop floors, drop off laundry, clean kitchen, grocery shop.
Thurs: Clean bathroom, vacuum carpets, hit the bank and post office.
Sat: I try not to do any cleaning on Sat except for general picking up or doing thigns I didn't get done during the week.
We have a 2 bedroom upper unit apartment, it's big but not soooo big that we can't get it clean in a hour or two.

FH is ready to kill me. He says that before I got the ring I was a neat freak and now I am horrible. lol The truth is during the summer, I wasn't working like I am now. I don't have time to work, home teach, tutor and clean the house/laundry. Meanwhile he works from home, so there is no reason that he can't do something while I am at work, but i usually come home to a bigger mess than the way I left it. I took off today just so I could get caught up and one day was not enough to get all caught up. I honestly have no idea how to balance everything.

Well I work FT and I go to school at night...
but I do little things here and there and DH helps a lot...
Like I try to make a point of putting things away after I am done with them, and I sweep every other day, and I dust every 2 weeks and DH does the dishes and laundry and does the bathroom when it needs to be cleaned

lol i dont.. its clean until FH gets home and dumps all his stuff everywhere and leaves toothopaste in the sink and wet towels on the bed and food in the sink....grrrrrr its so frustrating. i try to get all my cleaning in on saturday but its usually a mess within a day

well FH is deployed with the Army and i have a 5 year old trashing the place so it's constantly looks like a tornado ripped through here i need to figure out a way to make it a game again with the kiddo to get it all done.
And her bed room OMG it looks like toys r us blew up in there i love when she says she didn't do it.... who did then the cat or the dog???

same exact thing...i try to clean during the week ..butr sat is my big cleaning day and food shopping! its very hard to keep everything clean when i work and go to school at the same time!

I just try to do a little bit at a time everyday so that way I never hav eto do a HUGE clearning job. I was thinking of creating a cleaning schedule though for the 'deep cleanings' like...'every last Saturday of the month will be cleaning the bathroom tiles'

i hate seeing things out of order so i usually pick up any clutter thats left around (magazines, FH's sneakers, clothes, etc). I clean the bathroom twice a week and do the entire apartment either on saturday or sunday morning. FH helps with the vacuuming and making the bed.

I'm lucky I work shifts so have more days off than most, I just stick on my ipod and before i know it the chores are done.

I'm not working now, but when I did work, the best way I could keep with with all the cleaning (which I'm obsessive over) is to clean a little bit each day for like 30 min or an hour when you get home. So by the weekend, you dont have to worry about cleaning on your time off. We live in a co-op so it's not too much to clean oppose to a house.

I try to do one room a night or at least just tidy up a little bit, if I cant get a major cleaning in.
But most of the cleaning gets done on the weekends

i am psychotic when it comes to cleaning i work M-F 9-5 and when i get home i feel like all i do is clean but i secretly enjoy it i think - FH says im a germ freak b/c of some of my habits hahahahaha....i make the bed in the morning so thats out of the way - we have wood floors so i swiffer everyday when i get home to get crumbs/dog hair/dust off the floor - if for some reason there are dishes in the sink or a pot that was soaking ill do that - i clean the countertops in the kitchen and bathroom with clorox or lysol wipes (and every few days or on the weekend i wipe down the cabinets, the handles/knobs, doorknobs, kitchen cabinets...i lysol spray our couches and pillows like every other day and also on the days i do that i usually dust...then every 2 or 3 days ill vacuum the bedroom since its the only room with carpet on weekends i bleach the entire shower, scrub the kitchen floor, bleach the kitchen sink, clean the bathroom, wash our wood floors....FH does the laundry though oh and i usually wipe down the inside of the fridge everytime we do a big grocery run before i put everything away....FH says im crazy but i like our place to look nice and be clean - we have a dog that drools, gets crumbs on the floors, she sits on our couch (on her own throw blanket) so because of her im super anal about keeping things clean

I know what you mean! You don't even want to see our hamper right now.. We share the chores in the house, but when we both get busy with work.. a lot of stuff gets left until I can get to it...

i think i have a hamper.... somewhere under all thoes clothes LOL i do laundry on the weekends so it will be gone after tomorrow i don't understand how a 5 year old has sooooooooo many dirty clothes i think she changes clothes with out me noticing somehow

well lets see I try to keep my home clean but then sometime I feel like I live w/ a child (FH) is kinda messy gggrrrrrrrrrrrr. We try to clean Sunday afternoon after his soccer games

Well i work and go to school full time but I try VERY hard to keep our apt clean. I do a little each day and usually one night during the week I stay up a little late cleaning bc i dont' want to waste my weekend cleaning. Only room I'm really having a problem keeping clean is the bedroom. There is always clothes everywere!!---i blame fh! lol
