Please shed some light.. how do you work full time and manage to get all of your house chores done?!?!? I have been having such a hard time keeping our house clean and staying on track with everything! I have been feeling so overwhelmed and things keep pilling up because I just can't keep up!

Its hard - between working full time - and planning this wedding - I also go to Nursing school full time - i DO NOT have one day off at all - any week - Our apartment gets cleaned almost everyday - once I have free time - but FH does pitch in alot to make sure that its not terrible

i hired a cleaning lady to come in twice a month and used the drop off service at the laundromat.
Since I'm a big cook, I would never leave the dishes in the sink...I'd run the dishwasher every night and I would just wipe down the bathroom sink.

keep up? we don't. we're sloppy but sanitary, and for now--since there aren't any babies crawling around the house--it works for us. we clean on weekends and before company.

And ladies if he doesn't want to pay for the cleaning lady and he doesn't help clean here is the solution.
I told my FH that when and if he ever cleaned the house that week I would pay for the cleaning lady..needless to say in 2 1/2 years, we have always split the cost of the cleaing lady and when and if he ever complains I remind him of the deal I made him.

crashing here
every night after dinner i do all the dishes and wipe down the kitchen. then i go through all the rooms and pick up any clutter ( its never my stuff though always his )
i was the towels twice a week tuesday and saturday all other laundry is done on saturday as i am cleaning the apartment. it takes me exactly three hours to do all the laundry while cleaning the house top to bottom ( i mean REALLY clean i bet other people consider it spring cleaning LOL )
and i use little tricks to keep things neat. Like DH doesnt know how to use a hamper so i put a laundry basket in his closet - even if he misses his laundry is in the closet at least
i NEVER eat off paper plates or disposable utensils BUT i do ALL of my prep work with them so after dinner i only have the dishes we ate off of. . . and i throw a trivet on the table and put the pot/pan directly on the table
and for all in between cleaning i use those wipes and swiffer, stuff like that

I'm glad I'm not alone!!! I feel the same way!! And to add to it all, my jerk of a landlord just told us he's deciding to sell his house, 14 months early!! Now I have to pack everything up and move!!

i have the same problem, every day when i come home i try to clean up a bit, but sundays is the day where i do alll the cleaning in the house. the floors, the bathroom, laundry etc. i try to get it done early so i can relax the rest of the day and be lazy to watch TV
