NWR- LAST and ATS-W exam

NWR- LAST and ATS-W exam

Has anyone taken them? Are they difficult? Any advice, suggestions??

I have taken them. They aren't difficult. I passed them on the first try and I took both on the same day. Its a lot and annoying but its not bad. You will do fine.

I also took them and passed in my first try. JUst make sure you take the practice exam on the website..you def. should use their language.

The LAST reminded me of the SAT--critical thinking questions. I actually had to take that one twice before I passed it, and the AST-W was more educational questions--I did the best on that one between the LAST, ATS-W and the CST.

Good luck on everything--Just take whatever practice ones you can, and you'll be set!

I took those two plus the CST and passed the 1st time for all. I would recommend taking them on separate days. The LAST & ATS-W are very long and it's a lot of reading!!!!!
The ATS-W is based on everything you learn in Education courses....where as the LAST is basically just like the SAT but not as difficult. The topic for the essay for the LAST is soooo random. I remember when I took it it asked for your opinions on taxes.

I tiotally agree w/ princess cut bride. Yhe LAST and ATSW are super long, and there is sooooo much reading, I think I stopped reading towards the end and just skimmed. I passed them both on the first time , but definetly take them on seperate days. If not its like torture.

Sorry to crash your boards, I'm an 09 bride. I've taken both and they are not hard at all, passed on the first try and I too took them both the same day. I just re-took the CST though because I had taken in in Social Studies and failed, only to realize I was supposed to take it in Multi-Subject. So much easier! You have nothing at all to worry about though!

They are cake -- don't stress. Just be sure to do a little review and be prepared to sit for the whole test for both exams. I took the entire time alotted. The CST and CST-SPED were the difficult ones.

my experience.. i took all 3 on separate days.. i never opened a book.. in my opinion its not a test you can study for.. my best friend and i had a ritual we always had a sleepover, and then went together, and we always passed on the 1st try...
my recommendation.. always do the essay first, its your moment to shine in my opinion, and after all that reading for the questions youll be burnt out..make sure you use a clear topic sentence and then at least 3 body paragraphs and a conclusion. pray for an opinion question!!..lol i always left the test with no idea of how i did, def dont plan anything for that day except shopping, or sleeping... good luck!!!!!!!!!!

ok... not to scare you but some people do not pass on the first try.. it depends on the kind of test taker you are.. luckily you can take them as many times as you want..so dont sweat it.. its a very overwhelming test especially if you have not taken a test in a while..
