NWR -Lion King

Has anyone seen the Lion King on Broadway and was it good? FH and I aren't exchanging Christmas gifts this year to save money so instead we are doing dinner and a show.

It was good. Personally I liked Mary Poppins a little better.

i have been dying to go. FMIL actually bought me and fh tix to go for christmas but didn't check the date first and we were busy the date the tix were for...we had to sell them. still haven't bought new ones!

I loved it. I went with my aunt and my two little cousins. Beauty & the Beast was great, too. Take him to see Avenue Q, I heard that was great!

we saw it and loved it BUT my personal fav and I strongly suggest is Mama ***!!!!!!!!!!! It was awesome!

FH is a PITA when it comes to choosing shows. After a month he finally chose Lion King so we are sticking with that one.

I saw it a couple of years ago. I liked it but was not my favorite show i've seen. What about West Side Story that was really good!!!

If you're going with Lion King, definitely spend the extra $$$ to sit mid orchestra if possible. The experience from these seats is the best! The show is great no matter where you sit, but center orch makes a BIG difference.

Dinner and a show is a fantastic idea.

I saw it years ago and I thought it was a great show.

If you haven't seen Wicked though, definitely see that!! Seen it 3 times and loved it everytime (though nothing compares to the original cast).
