Anyone else hoping to make it to the big parade this year?
FH and I won't be going to FL for the holiday, and his parents leave this afternoon for hajj (the pilgrimage to Mecca) so they won't be around for Thanksgiving. Since it's just FH, his brother, and myself for Thanksgiving, I'm thinking of trying to convince them to go to the parade...or at least FH. His brother can meet us later on for dinner if he doesn't want to go.
It all depends on the weather situation though!

I usually love to watch it from home too, but since I'm going to be in NY this year AND I won't be cooking (if I'm here, I always cook most of the sides and FMIL does the turkey), I figure to seize the day!

I'm so used to tourists since I work in the cesspool that is Times Square/Theatre District.
I saw N'Sync and Jessica Simpson in concert once because my sister wanted to go and needed someone to take her. It was the Bye Bye Bye tour (if that's what they called it).
I just checked the forecast...I know it's like 10 days away, but it's gonna be a low of 38. Zoinks. Maybe I'll watch from home.

went last year. probably not this year.
a great place tho (especially if weather is bad)...columbuus circle...the mall. its indoors but all the windows let you see out, plus it gives you a better view since your neck isnt looking up the whole time
we stayed at columbus circle last year, and i saw those people in the mall by the windows and thought that was soooo smart!!
i think ppl even brought folding chairs. it was pure genius!
hey...oon second thoought...maybe we will go this year!! lol

I went a few years ago and sat in the bleaches right in front of Macys it was awsome...I wish I was still friends with someone who worked there that is the only way you get those tickets. lol

I want to go but noone wants to wake up with me to go. So I will be watching from my nice warm bed. I cant wait till Thanksgiving is over to listen to x mas songs finally.

I used to go every year with my family. It was great, and I loved doing it each year. Unfortunately FH hates both the city and crowds, so he doesn't like to go. Needless to say, I haven't gone in 10 years

FH, my daughter, and I are planning on going for the VERY FIRST time this year as long as I can stay well enough! We haven't decided where we will watch from. Any suggestions would be great!!
