Chop meat - a mixture of veal, pork and beef is best

breadcrumbs

grated cheese

2 eggs per pound of chopmeat

crushed garlic

parsley salt and pepper

brown on both sides and add to sauce

Thanks!!! I'm going to try Rita's.

Who invented that concotion? Sounds somewhat good cause of the sweet and spicy but I would be scared to try it out.

I use
1 pound ground beef
1 to 2 eggs

few cloves of garlic
sprinkle of parm cheese
1.5 teaspoons basil
1.5 teaspoons oregano
sprinkle of garlic powder
salt
pepper

roll into meatballs, fry until brown and add to sauce.

One of my mom's friends does this with cranberry sauce - the jelled kind - and chili sauce.

She gave me some for my veggie meatballs (go on Barb....I know you're fkn laughing at me!!!) and it was soooo good.

that's what i do except:

i add onion
and i do oregano and not parsley

i also like to cook them in the oven bc i'm nervous about raw meat and then when they're almost done i brown the sides in a pan

Re: NWR: Meatball Recipe

note - my recipe is the same as ritas except instead of breadcrumbs i use white bread soaked in milk. it sounds weird but it's really good. if i don't have bread or don't have time, i use plain breadcrumbs.

Re: NWR: Meatball Recipe

i don't measure anything....but here goes:

-1 pkg meatloaf miz (ground beef, veal and pork)
-garlic (couple cloves)
-1 egg
-spash of milk
-parm cheese or romano cheese (cup or so)
-breadcrumbs, add until you get a good textrure, not too dry, not too wet
-lots of parsley
-black pepper
-sometimes i add finely chopped onion

i bake them about 30 minutes and then add them to sauce and let them cook, on a sunday for hours cause it makes the sauce really yummy when the meat cooks in it for a while!

That's exactly my recipe...plus a little bit of water to get them to stay together better.
