I'm truely in awe of anyone who can speak more than one language fluently! Unfortuantly, when my great grandparents came over from italy it was at that time when speaking italian would have likely stopped them from gettting jobs, etc. :( I wish I could speak it though!

Re: NWR:Nationalities

Thanks for the compliment, I actually speak five languages....and I looove languages, but I'm not doing anything professionally with them...I can speak hungarian and russian fluently...I can speak french ok, not the best but I do understand it better than I speak it, and I can read and write hebrew, but speak it brokenly and understand it well.
I definitely want to encourage my kids in the future to speak another language, I love the idea of it, I think its great!

Re: NWR:Nationalities

100% Italian so is FI

Both FH parents and mine were born in Italy (my parents in Benevento and Naples FH in Sicily) We both of course speak Italian (I think in Italian LOL) which comes in handy when we're talking about vendors in front of them!
