I'm pure jewish hungarian, first generation, I speak it fluently since my mom was eight months pregnant with me when they came over here..I also speak russian, since they had to learn it in their area of europe under communism.....

Polish, Russian, Lithuanian..As well as being Jewish, which is not a nationality, but definitely part of my culture..

I'm truely in awe of anyone who can speak more than one language fluently! Unfortuantly, when my great grandparents came over from italy it was at that time when speaking italian would have likely stopped them from gettting jobs, etc. :( I wish I could speak it though!

Thanks for the compliment, I actually speak five languages....and I looove languages, but I'm not doing anything professionally with them...I can speak hungarian and russian fluently...I can speak french ok, not the best but I do understand it better than I speak it, and I can read and write hebrew, but speak it brokenly and understand it well.I definitely want to encourage my kids in the future to speak another language, I love the idea of it, I think its great!

you are so right, when I went to school in Poland we didnt have a choice to learn any other language but Russian

Wow - I'm jealous! I took 6 years of german and 2 years of spanish and can barely speak any of it!

I'm 50% Irish and the rest is a mix of english and frenchHe is 50% Italian, 25% German and a mix of some other stuff Scottish and Irish I think.

100% Italian so is FIBoth FH parents and mine were born in Italy (my parents in Benevento and Naples FH in Sicily) We both of course speak Italian (I think in Italian LOL) which comes in handy when we're talking about vendors in front of them!
