NWR: NBCC Exam

I am applying for my professional license in school counseling and one of the criteria is passing the NBCC exam (National Board of Certified Counselors). Just wondering if anyone has taken this exam. None of the counselors I work with had to take this, they were all grandfathered in. Just one more frustrating thing to deal with as I plan my wedding!!!
