I just found out I got the job I interviewed for and I start August 1st. -) The thing is I just came back from the orthodontist and my braces are ready to be removed. The only time they could give me is 12:30 August 12th. What am I supposed to do? It looks so bad starting off with a half a day and having 2 weeks off in October for honeymoon.
As long as you let them know in advance, I don't think it should be a problem.
can you ask them to make you an appt. on a Saturday or at night?

Speak to your hiring manager, tell them the situation, believe me the'll approve.
I don't think it will be a problem esp if you give them this far in advance notice.
