NWR: need help, especially from teachers

hello all,

as many of you know, i have a son

my little boy has a learning disability. his second grade teacher is the one who caught it and got him the help he needed RIGHT AWAY. i never did thank her.

is it too late to do something about it??

can i write a letter to her principal, superintendant???

it just hit me, today, this woman's first steps got my son to where he is now.

if it's not too late, how on earth do you write a letter like this??

never too late and very much appreciated! You could write a letter to the Sup, and copy it to the principal, and the teacher herself...

just be honest....put how you feel in there...say how thankful you are...cite specific examples as to exact things that have impacted his life....whatever you do just put yourself out there as you would want someone to do for you!!!!

Hi there,

My Brother also suffered from a learning disability, and it was his kindergarden teachaer (she actually was also his teacher 3rd -5th grade as well) was also a key in getting him the help he needed. My mom finally realized when my brother was in 5th grade that she never did thank her for all her support and help. She wrote the teacher a straigh from the heart thank you and I believe she may have sent her flowers (can't remember, becasue this was like 20 years ago, lol)

I think it is never too late!!! Send her a thank you note, She will love it! I think the rewards for teachers come from knowing that she made a difference!

I know when I get a thank you from one of my patients, it make me know that being a nurse is more than just a job, and I feel that I have made a difference!
