NWR: Need Help with interview questions

I am interviewing 3 potential HHA for my MIL this week- They all have pretty much the same qualifications. Can you guys help me think of a few question in order to help me with this interview process? I will be giving all the specs of the job and telling them about MIL but I need to ask questions about themselves that will help me choose

TIA

* Why they choose to be in that field?
* If they could name 1 positive and 1 negative thing about the job in general what would it be?

what was their worst/best day like?

is there anything in their career that looking back they wish they'd done differently (i.e., any regrets)?

what are the biggest lessons this job has taught you?

what do you do on your free time?

Question wise, I don't know how to be much of a help. However, something you have to look at is ease of communication. You want someone you will be able to understand.

Also maybe ask if they have children, or pets. You can tell a lot about someone if they are an animal person or not.

I already have the communication part in there. Thats the problem with who we have now- we explain things to her and she does the opposite. We keep asking if she understands- she says yes but I dont know.

the children and pets question is definately a good one since we really want to get a dog when everything calms down

Thank you
