My poor FH is having a terrible time with his job - for those who don't know he's a first year resident and right now he's having a tough time. He's working on a service where he has 8 patients instead of the usual 3, they are all mean / cranky (few nice ones), very sick and want him to essentially decide if they live or die - ie should they do dialysis or just go home.
He's been really sad and depressed and I want to mail him something but not sure what - any ideas - not flowers though - he doesn't like them! I'm going to order it tonight and have it sent tomorrow to cheer him up! Any ideas would be helpful!!!!

Hey girls - just wanted to say thanks for all of the suggestions!! I ended up ordering something today b/c I couldn't decide last night! I found a cookie company 'Carolina Cookie Company' (perfect since he lives in NC!) that was so cute and ended up getting a small 'golfer' designed tin with cookies (FH loves golf too) - hopefully they are yummy!!! Thanks again for all the suggestions!!!!

you can bake him cookies and send them in the mail. i have done that before. i definately suggest you putting something together on your own if you have the time for it.
true - well i want to send - rather need to get him something tomorrow - he sounded so teribbly sad on the phone tonight!!!
But i could also put something more personal together later this week!! I really prefer to make my packages too!!

I try - i haven't been very sweet lately either - but it's just been really hard for us lately and his not wanting to even talk / call has been stressful too - I really wish I could be there to help him get thru this.....
