My FH and I just had a fight about - what else?- sex. He says that most normal couples have sex twice a day. Is that true?
We've been dating for ten years and living together for four. So what if we've had a lull lately?

Um, I just told FH that, and he's like, 'Do these normal couples have jobs?' Don't worry! I really think that twice daily is an exaggeration. A couple times a week is more like it, or daily if you have good schedules. Sometimes FH and I get into lulls if we are really busy with school.

I pointed that out! When we were 17 it was a completly different story! Now we're 27 and have full time jobs, family committments and active social lives.

IMO, a few times a week is probably the most 'normal' couples have. but I think that on average, it's probably closer to once a week.

You guys have made me feel so much better! FH told me he spoke to several of his friends about this and they all said 1-2 times a day. I told him we'd ask you girls and see what you guys thought. Thanks for the feedback!
oh- and he's finally admitted to me who he spoke to about this. It was his SINGLE friends. What do they know anyway!

no offense to his single friends, but single guys have been known to embelish, if you know what I mean.

When we first started out yes it was alot all day and night... Now four years later we are lucky if we get three times a week. Some weeks are good and some weeks we are tired.It is differenet. Good luck.

when we first started going out, it was like twice a day. that lasted about two years, now it is 3-4 times a week.

Well, we only see eachother on the weekends, so its hard for me to say. I think maybe on the weekends 2x a day would be reasonable, but I don't know about during the week.

2x a day!!!!! Please. People have things to do, places to go, weddings to plan! A few times a week is more like it, if that often. Sorry to say, but only a single guy would say twice a day.

I think this is so funny because FH and I used to fight about this too.
Soooo glad to hear that I am not alone....this is probably our biggest arguement! He just wants it all the time and makes similar statements to your FH about most people having sex more than once a day, lol.
I plan on showing him this post!!!!!!!!

We moved in together about 3 weeks ago and we have sex less often. Go figure.
