NWR: Need your opinion
I am a special ed teacher with seven aides in my classroom. Throughout the year, I have spent about 25-30 on their birthdays, a nice christmas present, bought them pizza numerous times. They have rarely contributed to the classroom activities financially and I don't expect them to because they get paid nothing. Here is my dilemma, I am having a breakfast party tomorrow and I made order forms with prices on it to send home to my parents for them and their children. I also gave the forms to the aides in the room in their mailboxes. One aide (who has been a pain in my *** all year) isn't ordering anything because she believes I should be buying it for them. I am upset at this comment considering all the things I have done for them and they know that money is really tight this year with the wedding and the new house. When I told my FH about this, he said they might be upset because they feel they HAVE to buy because I just placed the order forms in their box rather than explaining to each and everyone (they are never in the room all together) that I am broke and can't pay for it. Meanwhile I am buying them a thank you gift of lotto kids and copies of the students picture books. What do you think???
