anyone see this? they were planning on using liquid bombs on board. now, security is extra tight and you cant bring liquids on- like makeup, bottled water and toothpaste. ugh, i am taking a 20 hour flight next week and now i cant bring toothpaste.

wow. Am I the only one who is more in shock at the actual terrorist plot than at the airplane carry on restrictions?
I literally feel sick to my stomach right now just thinking about what they were planning to do... and according to the news, they're still on very high alert for the next month or so, because they might still find a way to pull it off (deep prayers that they don't, however).
Thank G-d they caught this in advance, and prayers that this nipped it in the bud.

not on carry-on-you can pack it in check in- bring those brush wipes to fresen breath and on those long flights they give u bags w/ toothpaste/brush etc

yes the way they were going to do it is sick. i mean a gatorade bottle with coloured liquid explosives set off with a camera flash... W T F???? that just leaves me beside myself. thank god it didnt happen and one can only pray this doesnt happen. again, what is this world coming to?
ETA- yes i was in shock, but i cant believe it has come to this- where we are at this place in the world and we cant even bring toothpaste on a flight. that is what blows my mind...

the eery thing is... the night before I had a nightmare about something related to this. When I heard on the news in the morning what was happening, I had goose bumps...

I don't know, they might not be so happy with powder, either. I heard all makeup got thrown away from carry ons yesterday.
DH is coming home from Germany today. I am so relieved. I just can't wait until he is home and safe.

I am leaving on Sunday for my cruise. YES!!! I am so excited to get there THREE hours early.
ETA: Yes, but I do know it is all for our own safety. I am happy they found out about it before anyone got hurt.

As far as the toothpaste thing, bring some 'Brush ups' on board. They are not as good as actually brushing your teeth, but it is better than nothing.
