huh?

he should have tried harder... like when she still thought he was going to go to texas with her, then he should have gone... and then when he saw her in the empty house crying... and then when they went on their trip together to italy, he should not have said your not my angel....

and they really should have talked about the cheating rumors, i mean... how can you be divorced from someone and still not be clear on whether they cheated or not?

i am so confused,,,, and sad

are you kidding me? He should haver tried harder?? If you read the whole article, you will see that after she told him she wanted a divorce, he went to her parents house and brought a list of marriage counselors and she refused to think about it. The man researched marriage counselors! You know most men rarely research things that are important like that. I think he tried very hard, and put up with her crap for so long. Watching newlyweds, I would always wonder why the he!! He stayed with her all that time and put up with all her stupid crap. You say how can he not know whether she cheated? Sometimes you don't want to know. It's over, she left him. Maybe he wants to keep the memory of what they had alive because who wants to know that you were living a lie all that time. You know? A marriage only works if BOTH parties want to do the work to keep it together. If one person says they're done and don't want to try anymore, there's nothing the other person can say or do to change their mind. It's not a husband's job to convince a wife to try unless he screwed up and wanted forgiveness.

i definitely see your point too... i read the whole article i just got confused at the part where he told her she wasn't his angel... and then they had a good vacation? ....
sometimes i am just a hopelss romantic, and i think you can shake people and force them to stay with you... but u are right, BOTH people need to want to be in the marriage... still sad though

None of us know for sure if either of them cheated...

Thats the bad thing about this situation: they let us all into their private live through their tv show but now when its all bad news, we dont have any priveledge into whats going on

That makes me upset- they were fine with is watching and paying for dvd's but now that its over, we are left hanging, making accusations based on tabloids

I think the only reason they got married in the first place was so that little miss virgin could have sex for the first time and have it be OK for her, God and daddy. Her and her family are religious nuts. I think Ashley is the only smart one in that family.

I thought this also...he wanted it, got it and once you are passed her pretty face and bod there is nothing there. You could see in 'newlyweds' how often he got annoyed by her lack of brains, or just common sense

I feel so bad for Nick because it has come out that she wanted to leave him. It's so sad, and his new video is sad too. He told her 'your a sweetheart, just not my sweetheart.'

I love the fact that Nick wanted a prenup before they got married, since he made more $$ then....and Jessica and her psyco father refused

i bet she wishes she had that prenup now!!!

and then she goes and hooks up with Adam Levine?? he is such a playboy - she will be going down the Paris Hilton/Lindsay Lohan route very soon.

watching the show made Nick look sooo good - he seemed like a sensible, everyday guy and made Jessica look like a spoiled brat.

I totally agree with you! But I have to admit....When Newlyweds was on the air, I used to curse out Jessica for being such a moron to him! So, I've been cheering for Nick for a long time now. I'm glad they're not together anymore. The things that she used to say to him to make him feel 'less talented' or 'less popular' would make me sick! Did you see when he was showing her the single for his Christmas album, and she said it was corny? Even if it was corny, that's so mean to say it like that! I just think she got too big for herself! There. Now, I'm done venting.

I'm sorry girls, but I side with Jessica........I read that Nick would be out partying and she would be working on her movie.........I think if you're out there in the public eye so much, you should be a little more discreet. He cheated on her more then once, I guess a girl could only take so much.

He was rumored to have cheated but so was she, nobody but them know if that was true.

We will never know for sure...it just seemed like he was more grounded than her and more on the ball...from what I have heard I side with him but who the hell knows!
