please say a prayer or send a good thought out to my FH. he works in South Jamaica, Queens in the area that the big controversial shooting happened, and let's just say it hasn't been easy these past few days. this has nothing to do with how you might feel about the shooting (excessive or not excessive), but my FH is a good cop who is just doing his job on the streets right now....and well he's getting many leering looks and lots of threatening remarks from the residents out there...just when he's walking around or patroling.

i am sorry for the family of the shooting victim from sat. night, but my FH is MY famil;y and now because of all this fall-out, i have to worry that someone will retaliate against him. please keep him and all officers that were NOT involved in any of this drama in your thoughts.

I'm a US Marine as is my FH and while all Americans might not agree with the war...we're there and it's real lives on the line. My brothers and sisters lives on the line. The NYPD is very very very dear to my heart as it kind of inspired me to go this route and maybe one day I'll be back home going through the Academy...don't really know BUT either way....the brave officers of the NYPD don't deserve to all be labeled because of one act. It's not fair. I haven't really even heard about what happened back home but I'm sorry it is causing those good cops to suffer. It's sad we live in that sort of world :(

Lots of prayers and respect for your brave and selfless FH! We appreciate him and all he does and you for being so worried about his safety.

My FH has been transfered there from his precinct for the past couple days since that happened...I worry everyday because of what I hear people saying...some people think they know everything when they know nothing at all!

South Jamaica is a real rough beat to begin with. I am sure this situation doesn't help. I have complete faith your FH will be ok and will keep my thoughts and prayers with him and his brothers

i truly appreciate all that the NYPD do - especially since i work in Jamaica ( a few blocks from where the shooting took place actually )

there is a strong police presence here and I wouldn't feel safe without them!

You tell your FH that he along with all the other Officers are doing outstanding jobs.

My dad is a retired NYPD cop, and my FH just took the test to become one and passed with flying colors!!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your FH!!!!
